Arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid heavy lotions, oils, or recent sun exposure. Trim hair to roughly 1/4 inch if needed. Exfoliate gently 48 hours prior and communicate any skin sensitivities with your esthetician before treatment.

Some discomfort is normal, especially on sensitive skin, but pain is brief. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever 30–60 minutes before your appointment, breathe steadily, and avoid caffeine. Your esthetician uses techniques to minimize discomfort and protect skin.

For effective removal, hair should be about a quarter-inch (approximately 5–7 mm) long. Too short won't adhere; too long can increase discomfort. If hair is longer, we can trim gently before waxing to ensure optimal results.

Results typically last four to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles. With regular waxing, hair grows back finer and sparser, often extending intervals between treatments for smoother, longer-lasting outcomes.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, and tight clothing for 24 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free products and avoid heavy exfoliation for 48 hours. Apply recommended soothing lotions and exfoliate lightly after 48–72 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Waxing can cause ingrown hairs for some clients. Prevent them by exfoliating regularly, using non-comedogenic moisturizers, and following aftercare. If you’re prone to ingrowns, discuss topical treatments or more frequent gentle exfoliation with your esthetician.
